Pour souligner la numérisation du film Une histoire de femmes (1980), documentaire sur l’engagement des femmes dans la grève de leurs maris contre la compagnie minière INCO à Sudbury, venez rencontrer Sophie Bissonnette, Martin Duckworth et Joan Kuyek, coordinatrice du groupe de soutien des femmes lors de la grève, pour revivre l’aventure du film gagnant du Prix de la critique en 1980 et faire le point sur le cinéma d’intervention sociale, son histoire, ses méthodes et ses enjeux aujourd’hui.
En partenariat avec Femmes du cinéma de la télévision et des nouveaux médias (FCTNM) avec la collaboration des Réalisatrices Équitables.

On the occasion of the digitalisation of the film Une histoire de femmes (1980), a documentary about women’s commitment in the strike against the mining company INCO in Sudbury, come and meet Sophie Bissonnette, Martin Duckworth and Joan Kuyek, who chaired wives Supporting the Strike, to relive the adventure of the film, Quebec’s Critics Association Prize (1980), and evaluate the situation of social activism cinema, its history, methods and today’s approaches.

Réalisatrices Équitables.
